New update

There is a new update to some pages at my website. Now Ext is referenced as it should be , gziped. If you want to know how to do that and you are using .net 2.0 or above just navigate on the site and you will find the source for the gzip.ashx file

that gzips and caches (server-side) any javascript file.

I am back..

I am back to Brasil and back o work. It will take me a couple of days to get back to full speed development. But I plan to update my website very soon.

Here is what it is on my mind.

1. Fix bugs in some samples
2. Put all the samples in the samples menu

A wizard widget for Ext

Query Analiser sample update

The query analiser sample at my website was updated to use OLeDBConnection and OleDbCommand classes to make it easier to use with any database.Now all you have to do its configure the wright connection string to your database (with the correct provider) and the analiser should work with no extra modification.
Update: The sample at my site is using SqlConnection again...the sample wasnt running with Oledb due to a perimision problem. If anyone needs the code for the Oledb version just leave a comment here.

WebSite updates

I made an important update to my website today. The NumberPagingToolbar that is used in
this page is now sending an zero-index page number like the PagingToolbar does.
The paging in the dataset sample is broken. I am afraid to update the ajaxutils dll
because the last time I did that my site was down for an entire day.

Updates

Today there are two updates on my website
The first update is to the sample where I create a MessageBox class for YAHOO.
The second update is a feature to the box.net manager -The download folder feature
(this will download all your files in that folder and dynamically add then to a zip file, in any moment your files are saved in my server).

Before someone accuses me of coping Jack I did the MessageBox class long before Ext.MessageBox
and they are very different.

Looks like from time to time my entire website is replaced by a page from my ISP.
If you are unlucky to hit a resource not found error, please try again.
The link to the box.net manager was wrong in my previous post..sorry about that
now the link is correct.
On a different note...there is a good chance that I will be in Miami in May to visit my mother in law( long story...).

More about Box.net manager

Some things I forgot to say about the box.net Manager.

1. By clicking the url in the post below you will be redirected to a login page inside box.net.That page is not working with IE6 . And I have already reported that to box.net support
2. Since this is a pre-beta release. You might see from time to time that after you log in you will see an attempt to redirect to a url like http://localhost/..... That means that I am developing some new feature and I am testing it at my dev environment.

This blog is the only place I have a link to the app .

New sample

There is a new sample in my website it shows an WYSIWYG html editor for Ext.
I saw some requests for that at the forums and I decided to see if I could do it.
And I was surprised to see how easy it was to do it with the help of Ext.

QueryAnaliser sample

I have updated my QueryAnaliser sample . All javascript code is on the js file( as it should be)
and the code is Object Oriented. No more global variables ( just one) ...
and some scope changes.
I have learned a lot from looking at ext code.

My Website

I had some problems with the database file at my site and I had to reset the database...
Before the reset I had 5.000 downloads ...that is incredible....
I only I had a dollar for each download...

New sample based on post on yui-ext forum

There is a new sample at my website that show a very early graph library for yui-ext.

For now the sample doesn't work in Firefox ..but still worth it.

I will update my barchart class to use this as a base ..
